Amendment C90 seeks to introduce new entries for heritage places and precincts across the Shire. We appeared at the Panel and made a detailed submission in support of the Council’s amendment. The Planning Panel report released in November 2012 supported the majority of the Council’s recommendations.

However, the Warragul Gazette has now reported that Councillor Jones has subsequently convinced his fellow Councillors to vote his property, the former Wesley Church Manse, out of the heritage overlay despite the recommendation of the independent Planning Panel that it be included.

Council has also controversially voted to allow demolition of 101 Victoria Street. The house was recommended for permanent controls by the same independent planning panel.
